1 July Day 26 - Nottingham to Lincoln

The most moving story of the day was when dad, Spencer Bell and son Aidan from Newark were running along Radcliffe Road in Nottingham. Aidan has Cerebral Palsy and today he and dad were out to raise awareness and 拢1,000 for the Rutland House School for Parents.

30 June Day 25 - Leicester to Mansfield

From the National Space centre this morning, and travelling via Pride Park, Derby and Matlock Bath before our evening destination in Nottinghamshire. A halfway party for the convoy complete with disco, party pieces, skits and a visit by Commonwealth Games Chief Exec, Francis Done.

29 June Day 24 - Luton to Leicester

My friend local 成人快手 presenter, Anna Murby ran with the baton today in Northamptonshire - as we travelled on our way to Leicester via Silverstone where the baton was carried in a Formula 1 car. Well done to Leicester who sure know how to put on a community celebration.

28 June Day 23 - Newmarket to Luton

Another early start this morning - for a photo opportunity with the 'gg's on Newmarket race course. The Manchester bus drivers are tempering their accents to communicate with the aussies in the convoy and learning how to say Mow ter how-m and not Morteh Horm.

27 June Day 22 - Norwich to Newmarket

Shuttle bus hosts reported a moving day meeting some amazing jubilee runners who keep smiling despite the challenges they have faced. 250 school children formed a colourful procession which made its way through Newmarket to the site tonight - carrying huge masks themed on the flags of the Commonwealth.

26 June Day 21 - Ipswich to Norwich

I have decided to come back to Norfolk for a mini-break. Today my posh car came in useful for providing taxi services to the very handsome 成人快手 sport presenter, Steve Rider. After completing his leg, he had to be driven from the city centre to the evening celebration at the Norfolk county show where Turkey king Bernard Matthews carried the baton home.

25 June Day 20 - Southend on Sea to Ipswich

I think the Starhire Crew airlifted the massive stage unit into the tiny square in the centre of Ipswich for tonight's celebration. Is it me or are athletes getting younger? We met the local competitors who will be going to Manchester for the games and they just look like kids in tracksuits.

24 June Day 19 - Canterbury to Southend on Sea

Sad to leave Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells today - but Southend at least had more glorious sunshine. The Bertie Bassett balloon made an appearance at an evening celebration which included an amazing dance group made of wheelchair users and non-disabled movers who performed to Moulin Rouge soundtrack. Athlete Dean Macey was the final runner - and even his dog had a Cadburys coat on.

23 June Day 18 - Brighton to Canterbury

Champion Boxer, Barry McGuigan was the final runner on to the stage in historic Canterbury this evening - where the crowds had a bandstand view in Dane John Gardens. Our favourite MC, Joe Fisher from Exeter did such another great job as the perfect crowd pleaser that he has been asked to join the convoy as a permanent fixture. The shows can only get better and here in the South the sun is still shining.

22 June Day 17 - Southampton to Brighton

An early morning start for the crew who travelled to Stonehenge - the day after the midsummer madness of the summer solstice. After a coastal journey through Fareham, Portsmouth and Port Solent Harbour, Emma Mead (Sussex's Miss Football) was tonight's final runner on to the stage at the evening celebration tonight.

21 June Day 16 - Bournemouth to Southampton

The convoy are in good spirit despite the football results. A sunny, shorter day today taking in the sights of Winchester, amongst others - where the crowds rolled out of the bars which has opened earlier today - to welcome the baton in noisy fashion. Charlie Dimmock brought the baton home for Dorset and Hampshire at tonight's celebration in Southampton. Some of the drivers hoped it would rain - don't know why.
