Between March and June 2008, five visual/digital artists worked with 300 young people aged between 13 and 19 years, from schools, colleges, clubs and community groups in Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Richmond. With the spotlight on London in the lead up to the 2012 Olympic Games, young Londoners were invited to explore their local neighbourhoods and create animations, films, photographs and digital media reflecting their diverse perspectives and shared experiences of life in West London. London Mix artists, Emma Hart, Charlotte Hollinshead, Harold Offeh, Raksha Patel, Louisa Stathopoulou and Daniel Wallis, have worked in collaboration with groups to produce an exciting range of art works which reveal fresh insights and celebrate a wealth of creativity, enterprise and humour. Filmmaker Steve Folorunsho followed the work in progress, interviewing artists and participants throughout the project to create this short documentary which was screened as part of the final exhibition at Watermans and will be distributed free to schools and youth centres.听 Participating groups last updated: 25/09/2008 at 21:09 You are in: London > London Local > Your Stories > Video > Visions of young London |
