We're just the willing guinea pigs... Dega Breaks' Debut ReleaseDebut single and London Calling track Wake Up is released November 12 (Backyard Recordings) London's answer to The Killers? Well, Dega Breaks certainly have the capacity to go the distance with epic guitar, cosmic keys and a front man born with an anthem in his lungs. They're everything you could hope for in a band as scuzzy as the gutter, as epic as the stars. They ooze the sort of decadence paraded through London's three quid clubs at three am. Young, beautiful and alive for the hour. Debut single and our London Calling record of the week, Wake Up, has kept the band on their toes with touring, not to mention sheer excitement as they hold their first seven inch vinyl in the palm of their hands. killer chorusesWith influences streaming from The Cure, Japan, Joy Division and Dexy's, Dega Breaks' subsequent cocktail of killer choruses and transcendental guitar solos looks set to project them far into the stadiums of tomorrow. Pretty as a Picture: at Proud Gallery As well as current tracks on release, the band are rumoured to favour Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Relax as a future cover possibility. Those mighty influences from the 1980's indie scene would certainly stand them in good stead.
