Welcome to ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ RaW's Family Story Festival! A fantastic FREE weekend festival jam packed with fun with hands-on storytelling activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Date:Ìý 20 and 21 October, 10 a.m. – 5.p.m.
Venue: London, Camberwell Green

The festival brings the wonderful and wacky characters from ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ RaW's Max & Lara's Amazing Travelling Space Circus family activity pack to life!Ìý

You can follow Max & Lara's adventures in a new series of story books.ÌýThe four story books and the family activity pack will be available to collect at the festival and best of all they're FREE!

Listen to new stories, have a go at storytelling with musical instruments, you can make your own storyboards, take part in puppet shows – all fun activities for families to enjoy together.

There’ll also be costumed Max & Lara characters, jugglers, clowns, face-painters, and great storytellers.

Here’s more information about activities that our partners will be running at the festival:

Stories, music and designing books with Sandra Agard and Edward Fatunla (Saturday and Sunday - Southwark Libraries).

Put yourself in the story and make your own story books (Saturday - Lambeth Family Learning).

Storyshaping make your own stories and meet the Bookstart Bear (Saturday and Sunday).

'What happens next’ game based on African folk tale (Saturday -The 100 Black Men of London).

Have a go at reading the news and take home a recording of your performance. (Saturday - ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio London 94.9).

‘The Great Greedy beast’ African hero-story with puppets and music (Sunday - In Toto Theatre).

Brain Gym for Creativity (Sunday - London South Bank University).

African Folk Tales and Balloon Modelling with Drew Colby (Sunday - Blue Elephant Theatre)

RaW is the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's biggest ever campaign that aims to help adults across the UK read and write better.
