The project has defined two types of membership – Partner and Supplier
- Partner: Receives free content generated through the News Hub, Shared Data Unit and Local Democracy Reporting Service
- Supplier: Receives free content generated through the News Hub, Shared Data Unit and Local Democracy Reporting Service and employs one or more of the Local Democracy Reporters
Partner applications: Partner applications can be made at any time. Applicants should complete the Partner Application downloads below - LNP Partner Application Questionnaire and, if applying on behalf an unregulated organisation, LNP Part 4: Selection Questions. Completed applications or requests for support should be emailed to news.partnerships@bbc.co.uk
Supplier applications: The application window to become a Supplier - those news organisations that employ Local Democracy Reporters funded by the 成人快手 – is now open until 14:00hrs on January 16, 2025.
These LDRS Supplier contracts will run for an initial two-and-a-half-year period from July 2025 to December 2027.
Organisations considering submitting an application for one or more Supplier contracts are initially advised to read all documents in the ‘Essential Reading ‘section below.
Interested parties can then read further details and register for the Supplier application process by visiting the - select the 'View Current Opportunities', followed by the ‘Local News Partnerships 2025' link.
Please note: Organisations must first be approved as a Partner before they can submit an application to become a Supplier. Partner applications should be submitted by 14:00 hours on January 3, 2025, in order to allow time for them to be assessed ahead of the closure of the Supplier application period.
