"I
have an Australian death certificate for a relative, JAMES McKNIGHT
which says he was born 1870 in Stanley Road, Lancashire, which
I know is an incomplete address.
Other certificates say he was born in Liverpool, Lancs.
His parents were Thomas McKnight and Elizabeth Hay Ìý
Firstly can anyone confirm that there is/was a Stanley Road
in Liverpool U.K. and secondly if anyone has access to a British
Census for 1871 or 1881 would they be willing to check it please
for an entry for him and his family? Ìý
I would be appreciative of any help and advice on this family

was born in Shand St in 1942 but from the age of 3 months lived
in Huyton until I moved to the South of England in the 1965.
Whilst doing my family history I have been trying to find out
about a furniture company called Mousell's.
I have reason to believe that they were taken over or amalgamated
with Pickford's. Ìý I have tried contacting Pickford's but have
had no joy.
I know that grandfather had worked for Mousell's and used to
travel all over the country with his horse drawn vehicle. He
died in 1942 so I presume Mousell's must have operatedÌýbetween
both world wars.Ìý Ìý
Would you be able to point me in some direction as to where
I can find out about this Company. Grandfather's occupation
was listed as 'furniture foreman' however I am trying to find
out the name of the Manager prior to Mousell's ceasing business.

Mousell's Removals, I remember being in the Boy Scouts (2nd
Fairfield, Cunningham Rd, Old Swan) and being transported
to camps in North WalesÌýby a bigÌýMousell's Removals pantecnican
vanÌý(ourselves and our kit in a big heap in the back). I'm
fifty one now, so that would have been around 1962. ÌýÌýÌý ÌýÌýÌý
I don't live in Liverpool anymore, andÌýI'm not in contact
with anyone who was about at that time. But the person who
would have organised the transportÌýwith Mousell's at that
time would have been theÌýScout Master, Gordon Thomson. He
lived on Oakhill Rd, Old Swan. ÌýÌýÌý ÌýÌýÌý
Sorry I'm not much help, but that's all I can tell you about
Mousell's.

"I
am looking for information on my grandparents who were members
of theÌýKelly family from Saltney street.
My grandfathers name was John Kelly and he married - as a second
wife - Catherine Ann Gardiner (nee Keech). Ìý
His first wife was a Mullary (Mallory?), and Catherines first
husband was a Keech. Ìý
John Kelly died in Liverpool on the 14 May 1946 aged 58 and
Catherine died on the 2nd of May 1947 aged 59. Ìý
I'm from Australia it is difficult to find any information so
I would appreciate any help that you can provide on either or
both grandparents." |

father married the girl on the landing above in Hornby St off
Scotland Rd.
He was Thomas Cornelius O'TOOLE and she was Mary Frances Lally.
He was one of six brothers Charles, Eddy ,Harry, John and Joe.
