Meg's father, Captain Atholl Duncan was a cipher officer attached to GHQ in Singapore before being captured by the Japanese in Java in March 1942. His fiancee, Elizabeth Glassey didn't hear from him for 14 months. Meg tells the story of how her mother coped when he finally returned home after the long years of his captivity in a Japanese Prisoner Of War camp. Photographs of Elizabeth and Atholl feature in the exhibition Stranger In The House which is based on the book by Julie Summers.
