Rawhide has a lot of laughs bottled up for us this summer. We thought we'd check out some of the highlights of their new season: The opening weekend of the summer season (11th,12th & 13th May) sees Glasgow’sÌý Geoff Boyz come to Liverpool. Geoff performed last year at the 10th Birthday celebrations. Some fine observational humour and deadly accurate impressions are in store. He is supported by Hal Cruttenden, Pierre Hollins and Chris Cairns. The following weekend (18th, 19th & 20th May) it is Manchester’s Roger D making the short trip down the M62. A big bear of a man with a casual chatting style which conceals an acute sense of timing. Support is from Vladimir McTavish, Matt Welcome and Brendan Riley.

Other highlights in May are Keith Carter and Reginald D Hunter, with Junior Simpson, Phil Nichol and Steve Gribbin following in June. Rawhide must be proud to have secured Ben Bailey (30th June & 1st July) – a very highly regarded comedian from the American stand up scene who is an absolute master joke writer. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Late Late show with Craig Kilborn, Last Call with Carson Daly, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, The World Stands Up, and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. He very rarely appears in the UK so a must for Comedy fans. Rawhide will also be playing a large part in the Liverpool Comedy Festival (13th-23rd July) and the Christmas shows are on the way. (Already??!!) Rawhide is held at The Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool. Call 0870 787 1866 for details. |
