Over 6,500 thousand people signed up for Liverpool Half Marathon road race which saw runners tackle the 13.1 mile course from Sefton Park, to the city centre, past the Liver Building and back out to the park. Did you take part? Check out our online photo gallery and see if we snapped you!

Other famous faces included Darren Jeffries, who plays O.B. in Hollyoaks, running for Macmillan Cancer Relief, and Phina Oruche, star of Footballer's Wives, who raised sponsorship money for The Anthony Nolan Trust. Winner Andi Jones, 27, of Derbyshire led the way and was first to cross the finishing line with a time of 65 mins and 24 secs. Second place went to Matt Odowd who completed the course in 68 mins and 34 secs and John Ferguson came in third with a time of 72 mins and 9 secs. The first woman to finish was Birhan Dagne, 27,听 from London with a time of 76mins 20secs, closely followed by Mary Wilkinson of Skipton who also finished in the 76th minute. Third place was secured by Wirral Athletics Club runner Helen Lawrence, who completed the course in 78mins 31secs.
