Bleak Hill started the stronger side with an excellent chance to score but Shauna's shot was wide. It was Liverpool who did open the scoring (3), but it wasnt long before we equalised with a fantastic goal from Lauren D, she jinked from side to side and got a low shot past liverpool's keeper. This was followed by a goal from Shauna who controlled the ball and scored with a lob over the goalkeeper (10) to make it 2-1 for us. Liverpool scored again 2-2 on the 12th min, Bleak Hill's Lauren D was on top form this week, scoring again after a terrific run on goal (16) and nearly scoring again on the 18th min as we continued to pile the pressure on Liverpool's defenders. At half time the score was 3-2. In the second half both sides continued to attack and there were chances at both ends. Victoria had a shot saved in the 27th, Caitlin and Becky played well as did Jade and Emma in defence, doing their best to stop Liverpool from scoring again. Kayleigh also made some great saves for us as usual. Our 4th goal (28) came from Lauren O who scored from a throw ball to get her first ever goal for Bleak Hill, it put the game out of Liverpool's reach and it finished on 4-2 for Bleak Hill. Lauren D was awarded a well deserved 'woman of the match' by Bleak Hill's Manager. A big well done to all the girls! |
