City commentator Ian Stringer

Meet the new voice of the Foxes! Ian Stringer is 成人快手 Radio Leicester's new Leicester City commentator, and he'll be covering every match of the Foxes' campaign to get back into the Championship. Find out where you might have seen him before...

Leicester City Football Club may have crashed out of the Championship, but 成人快手 Radio Leicester is going to be there for every match of their campaign to fight their way back up.

Ian Stringer is 成人快手 Radio Leicester's new LCFC commentator and he's been a Foxes fan all of his life.

In the 1990s he walked out onto the pitch with captain Ali Mauchlen as a mascot, and now he's going to be backing his team from the commentary box.

Don't I know you..?

But if Ian already looks familiar to you, there's a good reason why...

Ian was one of the candidates on The Apprentice 2008.

He was fired by Sir Alan Sugar in Week 3, but he says it was a fantastic experience and he doesn't regret taking part in the programme.

But if Ian wanted to be a business hotshot, why is he now commentating for 成人快手 Radio Leicester?

"I've worked in local radio for six years, but there's only one local radio station I've ever wanted to work for and that's Leicester because it's home.

"I would have taken this job over Sir Alan's - it's much more exciting."

Leicester roots

Ian was born in Blackpool but moved to Leicester when he was three-years-old and went to school at Beaumont Lodge Primary School and Babington Community College.

He previously worked at 成人快手 Three Counties Radio, commentating on teams like Milton Keynes Dons and Wycombe Wanderers.

But he's now back living in Coalville in Leicestershire to be closer to his team.

Can they do it?

The million dollar question for Ian though, as the new Leicester City commentator is: can Leicester City get promoted back into the Championship in one season?

"If City fans have a stable club, hardworking players and they put up a good fight until the end, then they won't be fired. But that's only if."

Keep listening to 成人快手 Radio Leicester for full, exclusive commentary of every Leicester City match with Ian Stringer and Foxes favourite John Sinclair.
