The late Don Estelle Interviews with three top actors - William Roache, Madge Hindle and the late Don Estelle - receive an encore. The trio have all appeared in the nation's longest running soap Coronation Street. The interview with Estelle, who was best known for his role in听'It Ain't Half Hot Mum', was in 1975 when he was celebrating topping the charts with 'Whispering Grass'. William Roache, the only remaining original member of the cast of the Street, and Madge Hindle's interviews are from 1977. Blackburn-born Hindle had just signed a contract to play shop assistant Renee Bradshaw in Coronation Street. Her character went on to marry Alf Roberts before being killed off in 1980 when she was hit by a lorry. Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, was accompanied to the studio with his son Linus. Linus is now a well known actor in his own right. He is currently in American legal drama show 'Law & Order'.
