QEGS Soccer 6 Tournament:

Under 8 Boys- Under 11s boys

QEGS are staging four football competitions in June to raise funds for the Lower 6th trip to South Africa Township Schools.

The听Lower 6th boys are running the event to combine a fun weekend of football for a good cause. The group of boys going to South Africa will be working in a township school close to Cape Town. The proceeds will be used to help fund this experience and pay for useful things that the school might need.

The re-seeding of the school playing fields means that Lammack Juniors听FC are actually hosting the event on their mini soccer facilities.

The format is as follows:

Saturday 7th June

Under 8s: 9.30am -12.00
Under 9s: 1.00pm-3.30pm

Sunday 8th June

Under 10s: 9.30am-12.00
Under 11s听 1.00pm-3.30pm

Format for the Competition:
1. Each competition will hopefully consist of 16 teams.
2. 4 groups of 4 will compete in the group phase.
3. 2 top teams go into further groups of 4. The other teams go into 2 plate groups
4. All teams will thus play a minimum of 6 group games.
5. Winners of each second group will progress to semi finals and final.

Rules:
FA Mini soccer rules
Games will be played in one 8 minute session. No extra time.
Groups will be decided upon 3 points for win 1 for draw.
If tied on points a. goals scored听 b.goal difference c. head to head result
d. penalty shoot out if still tied best of 3 penalties.
Semi-finals will also be 8 minute games.
If scores are level golden goal will decide the winner in both semi finals and final.

Blackburn & Darwen Schools Football Tournament:

BDFPA are staging their annual Summer 7-A-Side tournament at BAE, Samlesbury (near Preston) on 5th and 6th July.

It's a not to be missed event....and you can enter teams in all of the following age groups:

Saturday 5th July 2008

UNDER 8s
UNDER 10s
UNDER 12s
UNDER 12s Girls

Sunday 6th July 2008

UNDER 7s
UNDER 9s
UNDER 11s
UNDER 13s

Entry per team is 拢30 and age group are as played in the 2007/2008 season as of 31st August 2007. Teams are to consist of no more than 10 players.

Trophies are awarded to the Winners and Runners-Up in all age groups.听
