What's the band's history so far?The Quiet Fire formed in summer 2007 but for a few years before that played as a three piece acoustica fandango by the name of GlassHouse. Deciding they were sick of playing acoustic covers of rock classics, they bought Dan for 拢2.85 on Padiham market. Yeah, it was kinda pricey but he came with a kit and a car so they coppered up. Lately, TQF have been trying to squeeze in as many gigs as possible with as many amazing bands as possible and are thoroughly enjoying the process. An EP is part recorded and should be ready some time before the next millennium; however work commitments often dominate and push recording onto the backburner. The TQF live experience has been described as somewhat unpredictable. The band strives to mix thrilling highs with unsettling lows strung together with an energetic show. All that can be said is expect the unexpected. Oh, did I mention that cliches are a band favourite?! Style and influences?The TQF sound is difficult to pin down but their music has been described as a mix of Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Coheed and Cambria, Radiohead and Sigur Ros. Go figure... Best moment so far?The gig of our lives at The Attic, Accrington with the immense Exit State and the awe inspiring Avalon Way. Worst/most embarrassing moment so far?Playing the tightest set in the band's history at Mercury Flux, Preston. The embarrassing part? There were ten people in the audience; four of whom were the other band, six of whom were TQF girlfriends and kind equipment carriers! What's your favourite song? Or which song do you wish you'd written?Nothing beats hitting the groove with the MIGHTY 'A Crack In Forever'. If TQF have an anthem, this is it. Anything else we should all know about?The fifth member of The Quiet Fire is Leroy. Leroy is a gold Peugeut 307 and Dan loves him more than life itself.
