handling the lambs

Don't be sheepish!

Get close to nature and see the newborn lambs at this family event at Myerscough - aahh!

Myerscough College鈥檚 Lee Farm will again be open to the public this spring for its popular Lambing Weekends so visitors can come and have a fun family day out on the farm.

Visitors can get the chance to watch lambs being born, hold them and learn about how they are looked after at Myerscough College鈥檚 Lee Farm in Bilsborrow.

Katy Roberts, the Schools Manager at Myerscough College, said, "We had a great turnout for the Lambing Weekends in 2007 with over 2000 visitors. The children loved seeing the lambs and there were plenty of activities for them to do. They were still normal working days for the farm and people enjoyed seeing the daily shepherd duties and learning about farm life."

College鈥檚 Lee Farm is open to the public on Saturday 1st March and Sunday 2nd March and on Saturday 8th March and Sunday 9th March 2008 from 10.30am-3.30pm.

Visitors can have a fun day out on the farm and see the new born lambs and there will be children鈥檚 arts and craft activities taking place in the barn all day long. For further information contact the College on 01995 642341.
