Local BandsYou are in: Lancashire > Entertainment > Music > Local Bands > The Little Kings The Little KingsThe guys play indie music with an element of pop... More about The Little Kings... Where are you from?Preston Who plays what?Kurt Czarnota - vocals Tim Allen - Guitar & Vocals Greg Jackson - Guitar Craig Beatie - Bass Ben Whitaker - Drums What's the band's history so far?Tim and Kurt have been writing and performing together since they left school in 1997, and were interviewed by Ted Robbins in January 2001. Since then the lads have progressed immenselyand formed The Little Kings in May 2004. Although they have played some top venues around the north west and got a huge local fan base they are still looking to be signed. Style and influences?Definitely indie but there is an element of pop there. Very melodic with great lyrics, this probably comes from the diverse range of influences from Crowded House to the Killers, the Beatles to the Christians. Best moment so far?Playing at the Leeds festival last year Worst/most embarrassing moment so far?Just the odd poor gig here and there. A few year ago we played at the Night and Day in Manchester on a Wednesday night and it was dead, we had a terrible gig cos there was only a few people there but turns out there was someone from the industry there so it just shows that you never know who might be watching! What's your favourite song? Or which song do you wish you'd written?I find it frustrating when you here the simplest of songs and you think if only I'd have done that first! I know this is an obvious one but IMAGINE for example. Anything else we should all know about?Just that we are a very hard working band and are just trying to catch a break whilst entertaining at the same time so we can at least say we tried our best! last updated: 19/06/2008 at 10:14 You are in: Lancashire > Entertainment > Music > Local Bands > The Little Kings
