Alex: Can't really disclose any others just hope nobody notices mine!

What's the band's history so far?

We have been together since November 2002, under the name of Niu-B. We lost our bassist and lead guitarist and returned as Salacious in October 2005, with new bassist Kev (elezium) and some new material. Thus far, we have gigged in venues throughout Manchester, Leeds, Blackburn, Burnley and Accrington and hope to move out to the rest of the UK.

Our high points to date are supporting local signed band - 'Maupa' at local gigs as well as playing the 'Night and Day' Cafe in Manchester.

We are currently recording our new demo 'Mum' with Mark Jones (Big Dog, Peter Gabriel) so that should be about by the end of May!

Style and influences?

We are kind of Indie/Rock/Funk and like to think of our influences as being all of the greats like Chilli Peppers, RAGE but have also been referred to as having a similar music style to Siouxse and the Banshees!

Best moment so far?

Our high points to date are supporting local signed band - 'Maupa' at local gigs as well as playing the 'Night and Day' Cafe in Manchester, although it has to be said Brudenell Social Club in Leeds was fun thanks to a couple of donated boxer shorts thrown at us by the crowd! LOL

Worst/most embarrassing moment so far?

Again I think the boxer shorts pretty much cover that area!

What's your favourite song? Or which song do you wish you'd written?

Alex: mmm.... I'd say 'The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony' its very easily listening but yet quite emotionally powerful at the same time.
