At the moment the band has turned into "myspace" junkies. Closely followed by not paying rent..

What's the band's history so far?

Garland Green were formed in the winter of 2003. James Routh discovered the fresh young talents of Josh Bellew and Rida Mukhtar, and they immediately set to work writing music. A few weeks down the line, an old friend of James, Jamie Cook, was invited to front the band on account of the eccentric nature of his vocals, appearance and lyrics. By February 2004 the band had their first gig at a club called Liquid Lounge. The show was a success, even though nobody quite knew what to expect.

While at university James met Aab Troko. Wanting to experiment with keyboard and synthesiser over Garland Green鈥檚 exciting sound, he learned some of the songs and joined in a practice session. While experimenting with sounds and composition, James met Jemma Rogers, a very talented vocalist. They began working on music outside of Garland Green until Jamie's departure late 2005.

Jemma joining the band, closely followed by rocking Roper Hall in Preston......

Worst/most embarrassing moment so far?

Apart from messing up and stuff, nothing!

What's your favourite song? Or which song do you wish you'd written?

Favourite Garland Green song would have to be "A face that wants milk" (yes that is the correct name) I wish I had written most Mr Bungle/Faith no more songs

Anything else we should all know about?

Yes!听 We are taking part in the BOTB at the Mill in Preston. Our heat is the 21st April 2006!听 Were doing a comeback gig in Blackpool.听 It's been six months since we played in our hometown, so were making it a special one :)
