Rik Holden - Vocals/Guitar, Ric Roberts - Guitar, James McNeill - Bass/BV, Matt Dearden - Drums

Got any bad habits?

James has a habit of working out random theme tunes on his bass, planting them in your subconscious so you can't stop humming them for weeks. Rik breaks almost everything he touches and Ric has general annoying tendencies, mostly attempting to be funny, and failing.

What's the band's history so far?

Originally Formed Dec 2001 as If All Else Fails

January 2003: On the strength of their first demo and live performance the band sign with East Lancs Promotions.

March 2003: Recorded a two track single with The Buzzcocks producer Pete Lorentz.

October 2003: After hearing of the success of the band China Crisis, of 80鈥檚 fame, requested the band support them with a special 鈥渦nplugged鈥� session.

February 2004: The Infinity Club, London, invited the band to headline on their Friday night on two occasions, leading to further gigs in the city.

April 2004: The band wins a 鈥渂attle of the bands鈥� competition to play at Lancaster University year ender show.

October 2004: Recorded a four track EP At New Rising Studios, Essex.

June 2005: Reached the regional finals of the Emergenza competition in Manchester and given a special commendation by the judges.

November 2005: Change the name to Avalon Way

January 2006: Sign with John Winstanley of A3H promotions 鈥淒igger Deal鈥� To act as a form of Management. Sign publishing deal with State of Independence Publishers, London.

Style and influences?

Modern Alternative Rock, think Foo Fighters, Funeral for a Friend, Jimmy Eat World, Metallica, Coldplay, Easyworld, Trivium, Jamie Cullum. We draw from a lot of influences but have been likened to Paparoach/The Calling although none of us would cite those as influences.

Best moment so far?

Coming second in the Emergenza Competition, signing our publishing deal

Worst/most embarrassing moment so far?

Playing a 12th birthday party. It wasn't actually that embarrassing, everyone loves pass the parcel, even us muso types!
