A signature styleSome of Loka鈥檚 signature videos include a celebration of vegetarianism, a performance of a song called 鈥楬are Krishna鈥 and a discussion on the clich茅s regularly found in television sitcoms and online video blogs. Interaction also appears vital to Loka鈥檚 films. In a continued series titled 鈥極n the couch with Ben Loka,鈥 Loka answers questions that have been recorded by fans. In the fifth edition of the series, Loka humorously talks about becoming online film star. 鈥淭here are a lot of myths and rumours about how a person can become famous on You Tube. Stuff like 鈥榖e yourself,鈥 and 鈥榤ake good videos and people will naturally subscribe.鈥 All of these things are lies. The reason you are on You Tube is because no one likes you! Be the complete opposite of who you are.鈥 Video blogging as a communityBen Loka鈥檚 success is evidence of the growing video blogging community, where people share their general views via a personal video camera. Popular blogger Johnny Durham otherwise known as JohnnyDurham19 believes that Loka鈥檚 popularity is due to his sense of humour. 鈥淏en Loka is a comical genius! He's also a very talented musician, and his personality is so addictive that it's simply impossible not to LOVE Ben's videos!鈥 Internet Zombie Movie creator Paperlilies, who offline goes by the name of Bryony Matthewman feels that Ben is best described with the emoticon smiley face 鈥:)鈥. 鈥淚 think Ben's videos are popular because he has a peculiarly British sense of humour that translates to audiences around the world.
