Catamarans were originally an idea used in early Polynesian and Indian fishing boats which used two hollowed out logs as the hull.

At Burnham Week on the River Crouch, one of sailing's top events, the brother stormed the boards. The catamaran won every race in its class - a tradition it has carried on today.
