Do you back plans for flood defences in Hereford? Should they be permanent or temporary? Tell us what you think.
ur mum permanent so no body gets moist or splashed by scary waves about to demolish our small houses
lynette sloane Yes I would back flood defenses in Hereford. There have been several incidences of the river breaking it's banks in recent years and if this is the trend of our weather patterns for the future there will be many more!
Georgina stevenson Yes it would be good to have flood defences in Hereford, You would get flooding every two ot three years, You would not have this problem if homes are not built on FLOOD plains so that the water can run off with no risk to life. How many homes under water that are built on FLOOD plains.
Carol Teasdale Flooding is God's way of leaving us with untouched and beautiful land to enjoy when the weather is nicer. People shouldn't want to live, work or use flood plains; only someone's greediness takes them there. It's quite disturbing that the council wants to pen in a children's park. Who is going to be policing these walled off areas? No one needs dark and hidden corners built with the potential to attract those who get up to no good. If water is prevented from reaching its natural levels it will simply overspill elsewhere, or find a way of creeping to where it would have gone anyway.
rebekah smith that metal fence cant hold the water and it floods the feilds... maybe a brick wall to keep it all in? also the vicky bridge is to low and we will not be able to use it to cross the bridge soon. please help our town
