The Rhythm Thieves are no strangers to live radio, and regularly perform acoustic sets on Genevieve Tudor's Midlands-wide Sunday Folk Show on 成人快手 Hereford & Worcester (being described by Gen as her 'resident band'). Mark They are also regulars on the festival scene, having appeared at the One-Stop Music Festival in Hay-on-Wye, Much Wenlock's Festival At The Edge, The Workhouse Festival in Llanfyllin, Wheaton Aston Folk Festival, Sheep Music in Presteigne, Save The Children Festival in Leintwardine, Baggeridge Folk Festival in Wolverhampton, and as guests at the Oysterband's Under The Green Hill Festival in Herefordshire. They have performed with television gardener Monty Don and 'Boycie' from Only Fools And Horses. They also gigged with Mark E. Smith's The Fall at a wedding in Yorkshire! To date the band have released three studio albums, recorded at their own Willowbank Recording Studios in Herefordshire, and released it on their own record label 'RTRC'.
The debut, 'Big In Wigmore', was released in 2001 ("Full of fire and enthusiasm," Mike Harding, 成人快手 Radio 2), the second, 'Hicseus Doxus', in 2004 ("And a very good CD it is too, diverse in styles and subject matter," Ryan's Gig Guide) and the third, 'Everybody Pays Cash' ("excellent songs... performed extremely well," Toxic Pete), in 2007. In the words of those nice people at Wheaton Aston Folk Festival: "Fine music, a large dose of eccentricity, silly hats and lots of fun... Irresistible rhythms, a lovely, upbeat sound... If they don't make you smile, you're probably dead." You can listen to all the latest music from across the two counties on the Friday Session Introducing... every week from 7pm, on 成人快手 Hereford & Worcester.last updated: 05/08/2009 at 09:11 Have Your SayWhat do you think of the Rhythm Kings?
