He first played for the England national team against Scotland in 1984.

Gary retired from international football with 80 caps and 48 goals, and despite a long career he was never booked or sent off once.

Now Gary is a sports reporter for the 成人快手 and he regularly sends himself up in adverts for a certain brand of crisps.
