Chilling tales of history and mystery featuring restless spirits, lusty monks and evil doings are part of Worcester's Ghost Walk.
Worcester Ghost Walk
Description:
90 minute walk around the spooky sights of Worcester. Walks every Friday and Saturday and on Halloween, from late September until the end of April. Meet outside the Guildhall.
Worcester Ghost Walks take place twice weekly on a Friday and Saturday evening and give people a chance to see an altogether darker and macabre side to the history of the city.
Each walk lasts for around 90 minutes (if you survive that long) and visits 17 locations around the city centre, from Huntingdon Hall to the High Street, the Cathedral to the Commandery.
Beginning outside the Guildhall, the walk includes: The tale of King John鈥檚 dying wish was to be buried in Worcester Cathedral; What smugglers were doing in the Crowngate area; Stories of murders, evil-doings, lusty monks, ghoulish nuns and more.
Walks take place every Friday and Saturday night at 8pm from late September until the end of April, with a special walk on 31st October. The cost of each walk is 拢6. You can also arrange a private walk (for between 20 and 50 people) between Monday and Thursday. You can book by calling 01905 759499.
