House Wins!

Computer games will never seem quite the same after this hi-tech animated adventure by Dan Matley.

A small and disorientated robot is thrown into a house and foreced to play a game.听 The rules are simple - find the exit.听 Perhaps simple, but not easy!

House Wins! was animated, edited, written and directed by Dan Matley from Poole.听 Script advisor was Andy Wright and the robot was designed by Stefan Morrell.

SHORTLISTED FOR BEST ANIMATION 2007

Mark Kermode's comments: "A simple idea (which becomes increasingly complex) moving from minimalist monochrome animation to sophisticated sci-fi CGI. The humour recalls the Pixar shorts (often better than the features) with effective use of music and sound effects."

Brilliant! Dry and witty and totally engaging. Suicidal also.

Very funny. Especially the bit where he bounces off the walls and finds what he's looking for by accident!

I liked this; it felt like a dream. The bot has a naughty brave sort of character. The sound is good, especially the use of silence.Longer clips would have been good. There were a few disjointed moments in the beginning. Starting small and white made me want to watch to find out more, butit could have revealed itself sooner. Anyway - well done.R
