This choice foxglove is found growing wild in Southern Europe, The Balkans, Lebanon, Caucasus, Hungary and Turkey. Like many foxgloves, it tends to be biennial producing a rosette of dark green leaves in the first year and spikes of flowers in the second, before setting seed and dying. The blooms are an unusual shade of pale golden brown or white and appear in mid-summer. Give plants a shady, well-drained spot in the garden. Propagate by sowing seed in containers during late spring. The Royal Horticultural Society have given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
