'Autumn King 2' is a heavy cropping variety which has been given an Award of Garden Merit (AGM). The long, tapering carrots have a delicious flavour and also store well. Carrots are ideal for free-draining soils, such as sandy soils, which warm up quickly in spring. For an early crop start sowing in March, if weather permits, in a warm, well-drained spot or from April to July, in rows 30cm (12in) apart.
