'Spring Beauty' has deep blue, nodding, bell-shaped flowers. Planted at the edge of trees and hedges, or liberally in grass, it will quickly spread into large colonies without giving any impression of invasiveness. Bulbs may be planted in pots for forcing even earlier flowers, sometimes at the beginning of January.
