A favourite plant for dappled shade, this species of corydalis is a popular plant and no wonder, with its dainty tubular flowers that seem to swim like shoals of turquoise tropical fish above the delicate ferny foliage in late spring. The plant is dormant in summer, and the leaves appear in autumn. For best results, plant on a moisture-retentive but free-draining soil in light shade.
