'Jack of All Trades' is a classic pumpkin, producing roundish, bright-orange fruit with dark stems. These are perfect for halloween lanterns. It is also a good variety for culinary use, the rich orange flesh is excellent when roasted or used in soups. Pumpkins require a rich, fertile, moisture-retentive soil to thrive. If you wish to grow a large pumpkin leave just one fruit to develop per plant and water regularly to ensure it grows evenly. Pumpkins store well into the winter if they are placed outside in the sunshine to harden their skins.
