Cushion forming, low-growing, evergreen perennial alpine plant that produces attractive pale pink flowers in early spring. It like a gritty free-draining soil but will also tolerate some shade. It is an excellent choice for a rock garden or stone trough. Surround plants with a thick layer of grit to prevent water-logging around the crown of the plant and prevent slugs from damaging the plant.
