This simple mackerel p芒t茅 is a wonderful starter with crispy toast.
Ingredients
- smoked mackerel: 2 smoked mackerel, skinned and boned
- cottage cheese: 125g/4oz cottage cheese
- soured cream: 150g/5oz soured cream
- lemon: juice of half a lemon, or more
- nutmeg: grated nutmeg
- black pepper: black pepper and salt
- cayenne pepper: cayenne pepper
- lemons: 2 lemons cut into wedges
Method
Blend all the ingredients. Season to taste with pepper, nutmeg and salt.
Put into individual dishes or one large one. Cover with clingfilm and chill for two hours
Sprinkle with a little cayenne and serve with lemon wedges.
