听 Set among the wonderful excesses of Hollywood life, "Hurly Burly" is a movie blessed with stunning settings and fabulous sunshine. The DVD captures every moment of 'glamour' in a warm, glowing palette that will soon have you yearning for a little of the high life.
For all its faults and the overlong running time, this is a film that sustains interest through its more obsessive moments, with some witty dialogue and classy acting.
This is a good looking movie and on disc remains a classy affair. There's little in the way of faults to pick with the image quality. The sound track comes in a 2.0 mix that relays dialogue clearly and the occasional music, with subtlety. No crazy effects to be found here, although one fancies an explosion just after the halfway mark might have spiced things up a tad.
A commentary from any of the cast or crew would have been very interesting. Sadly, there is only the trailer, animated menus, and detailed filmographies but it's still pretty good.
