Tonight鈥檚 programme opens with Wagner鈥檚 lush and romantic Prelude to his opera Tristan and Isolde.

Recognised as one the most charismatic cellists of his generation, former 成人快手 New Generation Artist Leonard Elschenbroich then joins the orchestra for Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 Cello Concerto.

The curtain falls on this evening with Elgar's Falstaff, a portrait of 鈥榓 goodly, portly man鈥� of a cheerful look, a pleasing eye and a most noble carriage鈥�, as Shakespeare put it, and Elgar paints a similarly vivid picture of the fat knight in his witty, stirring masterpiece.
