Sofi Jeannin begins her tenure as Chief Conductor of the 成人快手 Singers with a programme of music celebrating French choral music.

Arguably, from the renaissance period there is nothing to rival Brumel鈥檚 Earthquake Mass for 24 voices. The 成人快手 Singers perform the work alongside Poulenc鈥檚 1943 composition Figure humaine - a truly magnificent choral masterpiece that was written at the height of the Second World War and captures themes of death, war, oppression and liberty. This particular performance of Figure humaine includes contemporary jazz improvisations that are interspersed between the music.
