2022 was a huge year for emerging West-London artist Lava La Rue.
They released their latest EP Hi-Fidelity in July, a summer-tinged record which masterfully fluctuates from psychedelia to funk to grunge to rap, and was intended a bridge between their old sound and big things that are to come.
But their creativity ranges further than songwriting and recording - they released a fashion line in collaboration with Lazy Oaf, they honed their live sets supporting industry favourites Wet Leg on their November tour, and they even directed one of the band's music videos.
Lava kicked off this year with the announcement that they're on the line up for Coachella, so if you don't recognise their name, that won't be the case for long.
