Cambridge-born Singer-Songwriter Will Robert’s acoustic music is simple but effective, stripping things back to put the focus on his smooth vocals and skillful guitar playing. Will’s music career began as a busker on the streets of European cities before he returned home to promote his debut EP ‘Transitions’.
Shortly after Will submitted ‘Transitions’ to the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Introducing Uploader, the Introducing team in Cambridge picked up on lead track ‘City Lights’, and have been championing his music ever since. ‘City Lights’ was mixed by Dan Grech, who has previously worked with the likes of Radiohead and The Vaccines. With the support of ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Introducing in Cambridge, the track was passed on to Fearne Cotton, which led to a week of plays via the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Introducing slot on the Radio 1 playlist.
Will has been busy in the studio recently, collaborating with ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Sound of 2015 shortlisted artist George the Poet. On top of his appearance in Norwich, Will Robert is about to embark on a 100 day tour, including several significant festival slots around the UK.
