The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Symphony Orchestra, familiar to music-lovers worldwide as the resident orchestra of the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Proms, will make a rare visit to Bath to close this wonderfully ‘normal’ festival, following two far from normal years. Conducted by Kevin John Edusei, the German-Ghanaian Chief Conductor of the Munich Symphony Orchestra and fresh from a stint at the Royal Opera House, this delightfully popular concert will feature first the peerless pianist Sir Stephen Hough performing Brahms’ epically masterful Piano Concerto No 2. Then Dvořák’s New World Symphony, a universal favourite guaranteed to be as rapturously received today as it was when first performed in New York in 1893.
