The Adelina Patti Experience
10:00 Wed 19 Jun 2019 Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama

A day trip to Adelina Patti's beautiful home and miniature theatre in the Welsh hills, at Craig-y-Nos, nestling in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Your experience begins with a coach journey from Cardiff to Craig-y-Nos where you’ll enjoy a talk about Adelina Patti's life and times illustrated by music performed by a soprano and pianist from the David Seligman Opera School of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. The talk in the theatre will be given by Deborah Perkin of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, who has studied the life and work of Adelina Patti. After this you’ll enjoy a guided tour around the gardens given by Tony Hibbert, who is the grandson of Adelina’s Head Gardener, Constantine Hibbert.

You can bring your own picnic and there will be opportunity to enjoy lunch in the grounds or you can purchase lunch in the on-site café.

This promises to be a fascinating and enjoyable day, and we are confident that many of our audience will want to take advantage of this opportunity. The day will only go ahead if we have sufficient numbers to make it viable, so please be sure to reserve your place soon!

£25 (including coach)
£17 (not including coach, customers making their own way should aim to arrive at 11.15am)
