In this concert as part of the London Jazz Festival, the 成人快手 Concert Orchestra collaborates with boundary-crossing cellist Abel Selaocoe and his trio Chesaba for a celebration of music from across the African continent. As orchestra and trio take turns in the spotlight 鈥� as well as joining together 鈥� they feature arrangements of traditional songs; Barak Schmool鈥檚 20th Meridian, journeying through the African countries along the longitudinal line 20 degrees east of Greenwich; and Tarik O鈥橰egan鈥檚 Ra茂, his tribute to the Algerian popular genre.
