Marking 50 years since the death of Malcolm Sargent, Sir Andrew Davis and the 成人快手 SO recreate Sargent鈥檚 500th Prom. With music by Elgar, Holst, Walton and Berlioz, as well as Schumann鈥檚 mercurial Piano Concerto, with Beatrice Rana as soloist.

About This Event

To mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Malcolm Sargent, chief conductor of the Proms from 1947 until his death in 1967, Sir Andrew Davis recreates Sargent鈥檚 500th Prom from 1966, highlighting his work as a champion of English music.
