The group are well-known on the jazz scene in Tokyo, where they started out in 2001 before going global in 2004 with their critically acclaimed debut album, Pimpin鈥�. The 成人快手鈥檚 Gilles Peterson has always been a supporter, playing tracks from Pimpin鈥� (Waltz for a Goddess, A Wheel Within a Wheel) on his Worldwide show and inviting them to play his clubnight in London back in 2005. In the same year, they won the John Peel Play More Jazz Award at Peterson鈥檚 annual Worldwide Awards.
