Josep Pons and the 成人快手 Symphony Orchestra present a Spanish-themed Prom with a French accent. Debussy and Ravel paint Spain in their own distinctive colours: Ravel with the raw heat and insistent thrum of his 叠辞濒茅谤辞 and Debussy in the vivid musical vignettes of 滨产茅谤颈补. Meanwhile Spanish violinist Mar铆a Due帽as 鈥� a 成人快手 Radio 3 New Generation Artist and winner of the 2021 Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition 鈥� is the soloist in 脡douard Lalo鈥檚 most famous work, the Symphonie espagnole, which marks the French Romantic composer鈥檚 200th anniversary. The concert opens in Andalusia, with music from Falla鈥檚 tragic opera La vida breve, set in sun-soaked Granada.
