Almost part of the extended Reading + Leeds family, Paramore have been inching their way up the bill of the world famous festivals since their debut appearance on the Radio 1 Lock Up Stage way back in 2006. We're delighted to see the Tennessee trio take top billing alongside QOTSA, bringing an inexhaustible shipful of energy to close Saturday's Main Stage at Leeds.
Last time we saw them, Hayley, Taylor and Jeremy were warming up the Main Stage as the sun set ahead of The Cure in 2012. Back then the band were making one of their early appearances as a three-piece, giving R+L first listens to live versions of Renegade and Monster amidst a host of classic tracks. In the two years since their fourth album, Paramore has hit the top of the charts around the world, while singles like Still Into You and New have seen the band add daytime radio listeners to their already fervent fanbase.
We'll meet you down the front, expecting anthems that unite thousands, enough energy to bounce us all over the top of the Main Stage, hair that is bright enough to be seen from the back end of the campsite and a landmark set that will go down in the history of Reading + Leeds.
