Join the 成人快手 Concert Orchestra, conductor Richard Balcombe and presenter Ken Bruce as we wish a very happy 80th birthday to one of the country鈥檚 greatest songwriters, Tony Hatch.

A former band member of David Bowie鈥檚, Tony Hatch went on to become a top producer and songwriter. He worked with the likes of Chubby Checker, Pat Boone, The Searchers, Adam Faith, Sasha Distel, Bruce Forsyth, Scott Walker and of course, Petula Clark. For Petula he wrote hits including Call Me, Don鈥檛 Sleep in the Subway and Downtown. Tony also composed some of our best-loved television themes including Crossroads, Emmerdale and Neighbours.
