The Royal Albert Hall鈥檚 great organ is showcased in a series of Proms this year, starting with Poulenc鈥檚 Baroque-inspired Organ Concerto 鈥� all Gothic flourishes and grand gestures. Also gazing back to the Baroque, Stravinsky鈥檚 Symphony of Psalms is a devout musical gesture, reimagining religious rituals on a symphonic scale. The second half pairs two Classical masterpieces: Haydn鈥檚 cheery Te Deum and Mozart鈥檚 enduringly popular 鈥楯upiter鈥� Symphony.
