Your reviews and comments for Spooks 4 Episode 9:

"It was a cliche I know, but the image of Harry sitting at home watching daytime TV has got to be the most poignant of the series - and yes, I include Fiona's death in that too.

If you get rid of Harry or Ruth then MI5 will fall as fast as a * minus its ravens. There's just something about the pair of them (together and seperately) that holds things together. Don't put Ruth in the field - it's too dangerous."

Hodge, Rugby

"What a fantastic penultimate episode. Even though I’ve found series 4 to be slightly more monotonous than previous series, it still grips me each week. This episode was one of the best in the series and although it still had a Middle-Eastern theme to it (like so many episodes this series), I liked the fact it was more of a character-based storyline. Plus we got to see an episode which Harry headlined - a bonus in itself.

The highlights of this series have been watching the camaraderie between the characters, especially between Adam and Zaf, and Ruth and Harry. But I was sorry to see Fiona go and even sorrier to see Jo arrive.

Spooks is still one of the best programmes on television. Hats off to those who pick the locations for the scenes – this episode was a prime example of the fantastic views that are picked for the show and displays magnificent views across London."

Bev, Regents Park, London

"Brilliant. Seeing Harry at home with his dog was priceless viewing. It was great to see an episode revolving around him, since he's been the backbone of this series. The trick with the dog whistle was pure genius and it was good to see MI5 and Britain get one over on the CIA and America."

Alex, West Yorkshire

"This episode was Spooks back at its best. I would say the same high production standards haven't been present throughout the entire series (perhaps because of trying new styles). However this was brilliant, fun script, good dialogue, and it looked classy with lots of split screen and quality camera work. Well done and welcome back!"

Matt, London

"The episode should have been OK, but the American characters were nothing more than caricatures, especially Alex Roscoe. He didn't look or sound like a real American. Either he's one of the many British actors who can't quite pull it off or he is American and the ham-handed director made him exaggerate his accent and mannerisms. I don't know which, but I do know his portrayal rang completely false and that ruined the episode. If the Spooks producers want to do an episode thumbing their noses at the US, get a less facile script and a more convincing guest cast."

BLT, Cox Green

"Gripping, moving, often to the point of high adrenaline and tears, with an underlying sexual tension building between Ruth and Harry. Adam Carter adds the element of excellence, stealth and sex appeal to make this series the best, and this episode the best yet."

Simon Mercer, Bournemouth

"I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I'm glad that Harry got the sack. If he hadn't then that lovely scene on the bus with Ruth would never have happened. The end scene with Ruth was priceless. And I'm so happy that he got his job back. Spooks wouldn't be Spooks without Harry."

Ruth, London

"As this series has shown episode after episode, it really is Spooks at its best, tailing suspects, breaking into offices. Harry, of course, is superb, the glue that holds it all together. Adam, Zaf and Jo are just starting to seem like a team. I can't believe the series is nearly over - can we have a Christmas special please?"

Satori, London

"It is without doubt, the best series that the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ has come up with in years and easily rivals anything that the US are producing. Please replace the EastEnders slot with Spooks. Give us back excellent prime-time entertainment and produce more Spooks to keep us tuned in."

David Milligan, Glasgow

"Harry and Ruth should get together... at least have a kiss!"

Paul & Helen, Northampton

"Another great episode. Peter Firth as Harry is brilliant - he has had so much more to do this series and it has been all the better for that. But please don't turn it into a soap opera by getting him and Ruth together. Loved the look that Adam gave to the camera in the lift (it helps that he's very sexy anyway) and producing the floor plan to the hopeless Jo - priceless. "

Julie Meeks, Bromsgrove

"Spooks is great. There are some aspects that test credulity somewhat, but who cares. For me the highlight is Anna Chancellor, who gives her character a commanding presence, managing to be ruthless, authoritative and very, very sexy. Combined with Jo Portman's smile, it's almost too much for us guys to bear! But the girls aren't doing too badly with the male leads either."

P Alexander, Salford

"As usual - brilliant. I know the show has to be kept fresh - but don't kill off Adam yet. I thought Tom would be a hard act to follow but Rupert Penry-Jones has proved he's more than up to it."

D Ward, Birmingham

"What can you say but, brilliant touches on all the right subjects that threaten the UK. This is a good apology from the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ for that awful series Bugs ;)"

Simon, Bracknell
