Your Reviews and comments for Episode 8 Spooks 3:

"I think the comment by Harry..."..kidnap, that's a police job" sums up my mood after this one. Yes, a little bit of a side show in regard to the Government minister and the press editor, but really, is this the best that Spooks can run to now?"

Roger B, Poole

"This episode had a warning that there was an extreme scene of violence. Despite the ending, there was no extreme. It foreshadowed the episode and made it tense. The characters were very well done and really captured the interest. The great scenes of Adam's worry and Harry's fury worked well. It was a very dark episode, with lots of moments where you just felt dread. Malcolm's comic relief proved necessary and he is very good. He hasn't been given much to do and I want people to see more of him. Perhaps kill him off like they did to Helen in series 1. Very dramatic and would work. Also, the conclusion did fit the episode and was rather grisly. It's good to see Spooks come back to realism."

Edd, Cambridgeshire

"The 成人快手 had almost persuaded me to join MI5, but after this episode I think I'll stick to my current career plan of a music teacher! Like both Adam and Harry said, it was a police matter. However that didn't stop me from watching it on both transmission dates!"

Hanna, Lancaster

"Enjoyed the episode, but the gap made by Zoe's absence isn't being filled by either Ruth or Adam's wife from '6', and having Adam constantly worrying about his wife ... well what happened for the last few years while they were both at '6'? Did he constantly go on like this? I think not. A review for episode 7 was quite right when it said that the spying is gradually being replaced with the emotional problems of spying. While this is interesting, I feel it should be an undertone, not a constant plotline."

Steve, Ashford

"Not one of the most believable episodes, MI5 dealing with kidnappers. I found the Government minister's plot much more believable. However, it once again reminded us of the power and manipulation of the press. I like the new character Fiona, and hope she is featured more, and loved Harry and Ruth's exchanges."

G. King, Dublin, Ireland

"For the first time ever, I left the room out of choice during an episode of Spooks. I was not far off switching over! What has happened to the edge of seat, tense and thrilling storylines we became so attached to during series 1 and 2? And now we are looking at losing Harry from next week's trailer. It's either the end of Spooks, or a twist that's going to set up series 4. Come back Tom and Zoe - PLEASE!!!"

Damian Cooper, Upminster

"I thought episode 8 was a cross between EastEnders and James Bond. MI5 would never get in a situation like that in reality. And it was so boring, usually you can't leave the room for fear of missing something important, but I turned it off and when I came back nothing had happened. Because the actor who played the rock star Riff was Gollum in the Lord of the Rings, I just couldn't take this episode seriously. Very disappointed."

Kirk Hewish, Croydon

"To say that Spooks Series 3 has been a disappointment to many would be an understatement. Personally I've been enjoying it despite the loss of a couple of major characters and sometimes predictable or silly plot points. However with episode 8, to use that overly employed phrase, it 'jumped the shark'. The plot involving the kidnap of the baby of a rock star could have been a change of pace and mood, but instead was a chance to indulge in rock 'n' roll cliches alongside the familiar spy ones. Having the rock star made up to look like the late Kurt Cobain gave the whole thing a rather camp air that removed any potential drama despite the ultimately tragic plot. There's also the over-riding theme of the current series i.e. MI5 as a group of committed caring professionals doing a sometimes nasty job for the good of the country, everybody else as self-serving b**s who鈥檒l do anything for money/their job/political expediency. I鈥檝e no problem with TV dramas making political points but Spooks has taken it to a degree where it distracts from the show itself and undercuts any argument they try to make."

David, Liverpool

"The worst episode ever! Has Spooks turned into Midsomer Murders? Please, no more about Adam's private life, it is too boring. Adam and Fiona won't be able to fill the hole left by the departures of Tom and Zoe."

Sarah, Oxford

"I thought episode 8 was poor - none of the usual exciting schemes or events. Before the show was halfway through I'd managed to guess most of what would happen. Did anyone else note the 'more-than-a-passing-resemblance of Riff to Kurt Cobain?? I did enjoy seeing the Government Minister squirm though. We need more of that! The ending was a bit gory and at least it made the point that fame and money don't necessarily make you happy. I only hope that we get to see what happens when the 'election' that Harry frequently mentions finally arrives. Let's hope Spooks is back on form next week!"

Fran Green, NW London
