Muse
Teignmouth Den
4 - 5 September 2009
It's official, Muse are coming back to their home town to play two seaside gigs, both of which will be at the Den in Teignmouth.
Queues of people lined Teignmouth seafront when tickets went on sale on 21 August. Some camped in out tents 24 hours before they went on sale at the Carlton Theatre.
It's been 14 years since all three members of the international indie rock band; Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard, headed down to perform their songs in south Devon.
Teignmouth seafront the perfect place to meet Muse
Bass player Chris Wolstenholme said: "The Teignmouth concerts are going to be a very proud moment for us. It's something we've wanted to do for a long time.
"We want to give something back to the community."
The band, who've twice won the best live act title at the Brit awards, haven't played on home turf since 1995.
Both open air events came to light because of planning applications to the local authority and each one is likely to attract massive audiences.
The concerts have been timed to coincide with the launch of their latest album, The Resistance.
Tickets cost 拢37.50 and go on sale on Friday 21 August 2009.
